Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and one woman in eight will be diagnosed with it in her lifetime. The positive is that more women than ever are surviving it; eight out of ten will still be alive five years later. Being diagnosed with cancer is incredibly traumatic so the last thing anybody needs is to be faced with financial worries at the same time. This protection policy meets the need head on.

Just 75 pence a month will now provide a woman in her twenties with a payout of up to £10,000 should she be diagnosed with breast cancer. £100,000 of cover costs just £7.50 per month. Prices start from £1.25 per month for someone in their thirties and £3.05 for a woman in her forties. The cover is available for women aged from 19 to 70 years of age.

What makes this particularly accessible is that while the initial cost alters according to age, this monthly premium then never goes up. It stays the same for the whole time the woman continues to pay into the policy right up to the age of 75, despite the risk of breast cancer increasing as someone gets older.
The app is incredibly simple to use and requires the applicant to answer just two questions in order to get their cover. The two questions include whether the woman has had cancer in the past or whether a member of her immediate family has had breast cancer.
